Fall is one of the most beautiful times in the canyon. The hustle is over, and the trees show off with acres of gold and orange.

Come mid-September, most of the ladders are put away, but the pruning continues throughout the winter.

Driving Directions

From Delta: Drive about 14 miles north toward Grand Junction on Hwy. 50 to Dominguez Canyon Road at the base of a big s-curve hill. Turn left and follow the Dominguez Canyon Road 6 miles till it dead ends at three white houses. That’s our place!

From Grand Junction: Drive approximately 24 miles south toward Delta on Hwy. 50 to Dominguez Canyon Road at the base of a big s-curve hill. Turn right and follow the Dominguez Canyon Road 6 miles till it dead ends at three white houses. That’s our place!

Things to consider once you’re driving on Dominguez Canyon Road: When confronted with options, always think Downhill and Downstream.

• You will come to a row of mailboxes. Stay left.
• You will come to an unidentified fork: Tend right.
• You will see two other orchards before ours. Ours is third.
• You will drive for a while tightly between the river and the railroad track.
• You will cross the track.
• You will see a sign that says New Leaf Fruit.
• You will end up at a compound of three white houses. If you don’t see white houses, you are in the neighbor’s orchard.
